Monks Cleeve Bungalow is a charming, standalone lodging situated on the fringes of Exford village. The accommodation shares its tranquil surroundings with a detached guest house inhabited by the owners and a stable yard.

Guests are greeted by a pedestrian gate that opens into a secluded garden with a private outdoor seating area for two. Patio doors lead directly into the living space, which boasts a well-furnished open-plan kitchen and dining area. Adjacent to the living room is the bedroom, featuring a king-size bed that can be arranged as twin beds, and a separate bathroom with a bath, overhead shower, toilet, and basin.

For canine companions, the bungalow is a welcoming space (up to two dogs permitted) with an additional charge of £25. A paddock is available for dog exercise, and numerous trails emanate from the village, inviting guests to immerse themselves in the splendid Exmoor landscape.

Additionally, secure storage for bicycles is provided for those who wish to explore the area on two wheels.

The kitchen is comprehensively equipped with a Stanley cooker, electric hob, microwave, fridge-freezer, toaster, kettle, and washing machine, plus kitchen utensils, cookware, crockery and glassware. Tea, coffee and sugar are provided.

The living area has two comfortable sofas and a smart television.  Wireless internet is available and a hair dryer is also provided.

Electricity and heating costs are included in the price of your accommodation. The property is heated by oil-fired central heating throughout. Heating will be programmed for you but can be adjusted to suit your preferences if required.

Bed linen, duvet, pillows, and towels are provided, but please bring your own beach towels if you wish to take towels with you on day trips.

Assorted board games and playing cards are provided.

Two well-behaved dogs are welcome for a supplement of £25   please do not allow your dogs on the furniture.

A small patio table and two chairs are located just outside the patio doors in the enclosed garden area, which has a  paved area as well as lawn, and is available solely for guests' use. 

The property is detached and set across the drive from the owners home and guest house. There is also a stabling across the yard from the bungalow. 

Within walking distance to the village there are two pubs both serving food, the village shop, tea rooms and village green (dog-free area) which is large  with a children's play area on the far side. It's a short walk down to the village, less than 5 mins on foot.

Off road parking is available directly outside the property.

Had a brilliant stay. The bungalow was spacious, cosy and well equipped. The location was perfect for exploring Exmoor, with two dog friendly inn’s a few minutes walk away serving excellent food. Tessa was friendly and welcoming. We will happily stay again.

Perfect location for exploring Exmoor. Enclosed garden for our dog to do his thing safely. Set out perfectly. If we could buy this property we would love to live here permanently. Have every intention to come back again and hopefully stay a lot longer. 11 out of 10!!!!
